Training Schedules (Updated)

With less than 12 weeks until race day, now is the time to get your rear in gear. Below are 3 training schedules based on your skill level.

First-Timer: Is this your 1st half? Haven’t run in a long time? New to running in general? If you said yes to any of these then this is the workout for you!

Beginner: Have you run a half before? Still unsure of yourself? Still view yourself as a rookie? I think we have a winner!

Intermediate: Have you been running for a while? Have a few half marathons under your belt but still haven’t found a workout you LOVE? We think you will like this schedule.

Feel free to adapt them to meet your schedule and let us know what you think!

UPDATE: We’ve added a Training page to our main site with permanently updated links to training programs for all our events.

  • Thanks for the training schedule! I personally think that’s WAY too much running for an intermediate. 3-4 times a week is probably plenty for most people. I personally ran 2-3 times a week this year, and cross trained with strength training. I cut over 30 minutes off my time doing this. Just a suggestion!

    • Good input. We hope everyone take any training schedule with a grain of salt. You need to customize it for yourself. Thanks Jill!
