Parking for the Race Expo and Packet Pick up

On Friday when you come to pick up your packet at the race expo, you will probably find parking to be a little challenging.

If you are staying at a hotel within walking distance from the finish line, I recommend parking at the hotel and walking to the Giant Screen Theater.

There will be some parking at the Giant Screen Theater, but we will close off one portion of the parking lot to set up the course, so you may find the lot full.

There is some parking along the road in Springdale. You can even park across the street from the theater along the highway. Be aware of no parking signs and try not to get a ticket, also don’t get hit by a car. Parking along Lion Blvd about a quarter mile from the Giant Screen Theater is a great free option.

If none of these options work for you, then your best bet is to go inside the park. There is a huge parking lot just inside the south entrance at the Visitors Center. If you buy a park pass for your car it will last for 7 days. You can park your car, then easily walk across a short bridge to the theater. It would be wise to buy your park pass on Friday if you plan on going inside the park at all while visiting. There will be a ranger at the expo selling passes into the park for both pedestrians and vehicles.

Keep in mind, if you park inside park boundaries and then leave, you will need proof that you paid to get back in and retrieve your car. We have worked with the park to make it easy for runners to access a park pass but it is your responsibility to keep your access pass safe.

Parking on Race Morning

If you are either planning to catch the shuttle or if you are a spectator who wants to hang out at the finish line your options are going to be very similar to the above. However, parking will be even more challenging on race morning. We will close the entire parking lot of the Giant Screen Theater on race morning. You will either need to park at your hotel, find a spot in Springdale or your best bet will be to park at the Visitors Center immediately inside the park and walk back to the finish line.

Keep in mind, if you park inside park boundaries and then leave, you will need proof that you paid to get back in and retrieve your car. We have worked with the park to make it easy for runners to access a park pass but it is your responsibility to keep your access pass safe.

Parking at the Starting Line

There is plenty of parking at the starting line, however we will close access to the parking lot at 6:45am. If you plan to park at the starting line, get there early. Also, if it happens to rain heavily before the race the ground will be very muddy.
