The Rock Formation Formerly Known as Temple of Aeolus

Did you know Angels Landing used to be called Temple of Aeolus? This 1,488 foot tall rock formation inside Zion National Park is a must. Here is a picture we took from the top about 3 months ago:

Breathtaking, isn’t it? It just blows my mind every time I see it.

The hike is a challenge and dangerous at parts, but it is oh so worth it. If you venture up this way, please be careful. Don’t underestimate this hike. Be safe, don’t die and all that. But do make every effort to fit this into your trip here.

Remember that all runners who complete the hike to the top within 72 hours of finishing the race will be inducted into the Angels Club. Last year we had 103 runners join the Angels Club!
