Registration for the Great Smoky Mountains Half has been open for about four months now. We’ve still got quite a while before race day, but we thought we’d give you an update on who has registered so far.
We’re about a third of the way full for this half marathon. Be sure to register sooner rather than later!
We also already have 23 teams registered, however only 11 have six or more members. According to our team policy, only teams with six or more members can qualify for team awards and the team discount. Please be sure to remind your teammates to register so you avoid extra charges at bib pickup!
People are coming from all over the country (36 states to be exact) to run in this beautiful new race, and we have one runner coming from Canada. Out of those registered so far, 29% will be running their first half marathon. If you’re new at this, check out Active at Altitude’s training programs, created especially for this course.
