As many of you have already noticed, our recommended hotels are booked up for race weekend, as are most lodging options in Springdale. But that doesn’t mean you’re out of luck! Far from it! There are lots of awesome lodging options in La Verkin, Hurricane, and St. George. If you’re down to camp, you can even still stay in Springdale. There’s room for everyone! Let’s go over some specific options.
**when we give driving time estimates in the descriptions, please note that we’re not accounting for race weekend traffic.

When it comes to camping at the race you basically have three options: Watchman & South Campgrounds, Zion Canyon Campground, and Zion River Resort.
Watchman & South Campgrounds
These campgrounds are immediately inside the park on the South entrance. They are both within easy walking distance to the race expo, race shuttle pick up, and finish line. You can make a reservation for Watchman by clicking here.
South Campground is available on a first come first served basis and is more primitive with no hook-ups at all.
Both of these are good options. It’s tough to beat staying inside the park.
Zion Canyon Campground
This campground is less than a half mile from the entrance to the park in Springdale. It has all the hook-ups you need for an RV and has some tent sites as well. It’s also walking distance to the race expo, race shuttle pick up, and finish line. You can get sites right along the river. There are showers and even a pool (although it is unlikely to be heated on March). Make your reservation here.
Zion River Resort
Okay this one is technically in Virgin, but it’s immediately next to where the race will begin. It’s very secluded and quiet. It’s the only lodging option that will allow you to sleep in until 7:00am on race morning. You can make your reservations here. They have showers and a pool. Also, it’s a short 13 mile drive to get to the park.

[nzs_heading heading=”4″] La Verkin [/nzs_heading]
La Verkin is only 10 minutes away from the Zion Half start line and 28 minutes from the Zion National Park entrance, but it really only has one hotel, the Best Western Plus Zion West Hotel. They still have availability race weekend!
[nzs_heading heading=”4″] Hurricane [/nzs_heading]
Just south of La Verkin is Hurricane, which is 14 minutes away from the start line and 32 minutes from the park entrance. In this town you can find Travelodge, Days Inn, Comfort Inn, Rodeway Inn, and Super 8.
[nzs_heading heading=”4″] St. George [/nzs_heading]
St. George is also a great option with a wide variety of lodging options. The town is roughly 36 minutes from the start line and just under an hour from the park entrance. Check out the Visit St. George website to find the perfect lodging in St. George.
This is going to be a big race, but there’s room for everyone! Just over 4 months until race day!
