We’ve got our parking and shuttles finalized for our 2016 race! Please review your options below as you make a race day plan.
[nzs_heading heading=”5″] START LINE SHUTTLES AND PARKING [/nzs_heading]
We will have three shuttle pick up locations in Springdale heading to the start line in the morning.
Shuttle Stop 1: La Quinta Inn
Shuttle Stop 2: (across from) Holiday Inn Express
Shuttle Stop 3: Majestic View Lodge
All shuttles will begin loading at 4:30AM and will leave at 5:00AM. This will ensure that you have time to get to the start, check in for the race if you need to, and check a bag if you need to. This will also help us ensure that the course is clear by our 6:30AM start time. DO NOT BE LATE.
In the past we have had many people sign up for the shuttle and not show up. To avoid wasted resources (buses and volunteers) race morning, we are charging $5 to reserve a seat on the shuttle. The reservation fee is non-refundable.
Once you pay, you will receive an email confirmation. You will need to get a bus wrist band when you pickup your bib. If you are unable to come to the expo, we will have a volunteer at each stop with a list of who signed up. We cannot let anyone on the shuttle without a ticket that matches a bib. This shuttle is for runners only.
The morning shuttle to the start line is completely OPTIONAL. We recommend the shuttle for anyone staying near the finish line, however you also be dropped off at the start line or park there. There will also be extremely limited parking on Lion Blvd.

If you choose to park at the start line, there will be a free shuttle service after the race taking you back to the start.
[nzs_heading heading=”5″] FINISH LINE SHUTTLES AND PARKING [/nzs_heading]
For runners’ return trip to their hotels and to the start line, we will have a free shuttle service after the race to the same three locations listed above and the start line.
These shuttles will be running to and from the finish line from 7:00AM-11:30AM. Roundtrip time includes loading/unloading. For example, if a shuttle leaves La Quinta at 7:00AM and the roundtrip time is 12 minutes it will go something like this:

7:06AM depart finish line
7:09AM arrive at La Quinta
7:12AM depart La Quinta
Parking near the finish line should be avoided if at all possible. No race participants are allowed to use the Visitor’s Center parking or any parking in the park for finish line access. There will be no dedicated parking at the finish for runners or spectators. Please walk to the finish if possible (most hotels in town are in walking distance). If walking isn’t an option, please take advantage of our finish line shuttles.
[nzs_heading heading=”5″] SPECTATORS AND PARK VISITATION [/nzs_heading]
To avoid traffic and congestion, spectators staying in town should walk to the finish line or use the finish line shuttles listed above. There will be no parking at the finish line. We also ask that you be respectful of the park’s request that we not use the Visitor’s Center parking lot for race spectating and finish line access.
Please avoid entering the park between the hours of 10AM and 2PM on race day. The park entrance will already be congested at that point and the park has requested we try to avoid these hours on race day to give the staff some relief. Please plan on visiting the park after 2 pm on race day.
