We’re excited to announce we’re releasing charity bibs for the Yosemite Half Marathon! This is a great way to sign up for the race, while also giving back to the parks you love. Please note that registering for a charity bib is a serious commitment.
To get one of the charity bibs you will need to raise $1000 through our registration system. 100% of the money raised will go to our partner the National Park Foundation! Once you sign up for the charity bib, you’re committed to raising all of the $1000, so please do not take this lightly.
HOW IT WORKS: First, you’ll register for a charity bib- just select the “charity bib” option when you register for the race. Once you have completed registration you are on the hook to raise $1000. You have until April 30, 2017 to get donations from friends and family. You’ll be provided a link to send anyone where they can donate and contribute to the $1000. If by April 30, you are short of the $1000, you will be charged the remainder. So, for example, if you raise $900 by the end of April, you will be charged $100. If you raise $1000 or more, you will not be charged anything.
Your race registration is also included in your charity bib registration, so you’ll be asked things like preferred shirt size, hydration method, etc.
We’re excited about this opportunity to raise additional money for the National Park Foundation and to do some more good for the parks. We hope this charity bib option gives you the chance to run in this race!
