Skyline Drive

The Skyline Drive runs 105 miles north and south along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park and is the only public road through the Park. It takes about three hours to travel the entire length of the Park on a clear day.

Get to your race a few days early, pack some snacks, and spend a morning driving this beautiful road. Make sure to stop along the way for short hikes and snapping pics!

South River Falls

From the South River Picnic Grounds, this route is a circuit hike that takes you to an observation point overlooking an 83’ waterfall.

A great hike for wildflower and bird enthusiasts, alike! Expect 2-3 hours for this hike.

Old Rag Summit

This hike is very challenging, although those who do it are rewarded with exceptional view of the rolling Shenandoah hills.

Plan for 8-9 hours of hiking to reach these stunning vistas! Starting at Berry Hollow parking area allows you to avoid the rock scramble.

Note: Visitors must obtain an Old Rag day-use ticket in advance of this hike. Pets are not allowed.
