Experience the Race
Run the beautiful Wire Mesa overlooking Zion. This course is a challenging but incredibly beautiful trail run above the mouth of main Zion Canyon.
This race has sold out for the last 7 years and we expect registration to fill up fast. Don't miss this chance to run in the desert and run the course on Wire Mesa for this year only.
Runners will park right at the start line, run the race, then have a short 2 mile shuttle back from the finish line to their vehicles.

Explore the Park
After the race, discover the park!
Zion National Park is a southwest Utah nature preserve distinguished by Zion Canyon’s steep red cliffs. Zion Canyon Scenic Drive cuts through its main section, leading to forest trails along the Virgin River. The river flows to the Emerald Pools, which have waterfalls and a hanging garden. Also along the river, partly through deep chasms, is Zion Narrows wading hike.

Travel Overview
The race expo and finish line will be held in Apple Valley, Utah.
Flying
Flying in? Look for flights into:
- St. George Regional Airport (SGU)
- McCarran International Airport (LAS)
- Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)
- Cedar City Regional Airport (CDC).
Lodging
We recommend staying in Springdale, UT to be closest to the park, but La Verkin or Hurricane have lots of options as well and will be more convenient for race morning.
Other good sources for planning your stay include the A to Zion website, and the NPS website.
Entries are very limited and will likely sell out. Once sold out, registration will close regardless of registration period.
Charity Bibs

Want to run for a great cause? Fundraise for your chosen race and your registration fee could be waived. All funds go to Wander Project to support efforts in and around the communities that host our events. We primarily fund three project areas including: preservation and conservation of public lands; education around local ecology and stewardship; and the promotion of health and well-being. Learn more about Charity Bibs here!
Race Deferment & Credit
You can manage your deferred credit by logging in to RunSignup, clicking Deferrals, and Complete Deferment. From there you can transfer into another race.
Aid Stations
Expect about 6 aid stations on the course at around mile 3, 5, 6, 7, 10, and 12. A medic will be stationed at the aid station at or near mile 6. We will have oranges and bananas at mile 10. Keep in mind, the exact location of each aid station may vary from race to race. Aid stations include toilets, water, Gnarly Hydrate, Honey Stinger gels, basic first aid supplies, and sometimes more.
All stations are cup-free so plan to bring your own hydration solution or request a free HydraPouch when you register.
