Global Adventures Registration

 Registration Policies

These policies may vary slightly from location to location. Any difference in policy will be specified in the Trip Dates & Prices tab on the trip's page.

Policy Change - April 5, 2024

Heads up, runners! The policies below have been updated and are effective immediately. Please take a moment to review the registration policies for Global Adventures.


Pricing and Deposit

Pricing and Deposit

Your registration fee includes the trip races, activities, and double occupancy accommodations. It also includes transportation within the host country, most meals and drinks, and swag items. Itinerary details are subject to change, but we will always offer a comparable alternative.

Deposit and Payment Schedule

A minimum deposit of $500 is due at registration for all registrations. After registration and the initial deposit, you will receive an invoice for the remaining balance. Final payments are due 6 months before the event date.

Registrations made within 6 months or less from the start of the event will require full payment at the time of registration. These timing adjustments will ensure that our event directors and partners are prepared for the customers who will be joining us and allow them to focus on creating the best experience.

Solo travelers who opt to have a single room (aka no roommate) during the trip will also need to pay an additional supplement at the time of registration to secure a single room (single rooms are only available on select Global Adventures and vary in cost from $800 to $1,200 depending on the destination).


Using Credits

If you have accrued race credits that you would like to use toward your Global Adventures payments, you may do so. Credits are earned by volunteering at our domestic events. You can also transfer credits from one of our domestic events to use toward your Global Adventures registration. There is no limit to the amount of credits that can be applied.

Room Occupancy

Room Occupancy

Trip pricing is based on double occupancy of all hotel rooms. If you register with a partner, you will be able to room with them. If you register as a solo adventurer, we will pair you with someone else of the same gender in a hotel room. We try to use factors like your age, location, and other information you provide to pair you with a compatible roommate.

Single Occupancy Upgrade*: If you prefer to have your hotel room to yourself, the additional cost will be between $800 and $1,200 to cover the additional hotel expenses (cost is dependent on location and will be detailed on trip booking pages).

*Single Occupancy Upgrades are only available on select Global Adventures.

Waitlist Policy

Waitlist Policy

When a Global Adventures trip sells out, RunSignup will automatically offer you the option to join a waitlist. If a spot becomes available on the sold out trip, RunSignup will automatically email the next person on the waitlist in the order they joined the waitlist. Please follow RunSignup's emailed instructions to complete your registration.

Refunds
Vacation Races does not offer refunds on any Global Adventures registrations. This adjustment will allow our customer service team to more accurately fulfill requests in a timely manner while ensuring the viability of our trips.

Transfers & Deferrals

Transfers are allowed up until 6 months before the event date. You may transfer your registration to another participant within the RunSignup platform.

Deferrals are allowed up until 6 months before the event date. You may defer registration credits in the Runsignup platform by completing the deferral steps here. You may draw from transferred registration credits to register for any event that is open for registration on Runsignup within one year from the date you deferred. The event itself does not have to be completed before the expiration date.

If registration is not open for the event you are interested in applying your credits to, you can return to the instructions provided and apply your credits when registration opens. We are unable to process event transfers or deferrals within six months of the event date.
