The 100-mile course begins at Lucky 7 Ranch and follows the same route as the 50-mile course toward Proctor Canyon, climbing gradually on doubletrack through open terrain before reaching the plateau. From there, runners transition onto the Grandview Trail, winding along scenic singletrack before turning back toward the rim and climbing into a striking hoodoo amphitheater with rolling elevation changes.
After reaching the top of the plateau, the course heads inland on smooth doubletrack and then follows a long, scenic stretch alongside the Sevier River across the heart of the plateau. From Coyote Hollow, runners join the iconic Thunder Mountain Trail, traversing a series of short, punchy ridges before descending steeply through one of the most photographed hoodoo sections of the course.
At a designated point along the 50-mile course, 100-mile runners will split off to continue the second half of their course. This section includes an out-and-back through forested areas with canyon and hoodoo views.
The final miles leave the forest and transition back onto ranch lands, crossing open fields and roads with a steady descent that leads all the way back to the finish at Lucky 7 Ranch. In total, the 100-mile course includes approximately 16,000 feet of climbing.

Race Overview
Start Line/Finish Line: Lucky 7 Ranch (Hatch, UT)
-
Due to the remote desert setting, Bryce Canyon Ultras is not a spectator-friendly event, as the course is designed to immerse runners in solitude and scenery. The start/finish line staging area will be the only location at the event this year where spectators will be allowed. Only pacers and crew will be allowed at aid stations. We ask all friends and family to respect this rule. Failure to comply with this will jeopardize the future of this event with the Forest Service. So we kindly ask for your cooperation.
Our events take place in and around protected national park landscapes, and we are deeply committed to minimizing waste while preserving the natural beauty of the places we run, without compromising safety, efficiency, or hydration on course. To achieve this, we’ve implemented cup-free racing across the series: runners may add a lightweight, foldable Nathan reusable cup during registration or bring any personal hydration system that doesn’t produce trash. Self-serve aid stations are placed throughout the course with water and electrolytes for quick, efficient refills, allowing athletes to hydrate as needed without waste, congestion, or mess. The system keeps courses clean, stations moving smoothly, and hydration reliable.

Live results will be hosted online by Laurel.
Visit the results button below for final finisher times after the event is completed. Keep in mind, the results are not official until all runners have crossed the finish line, and have been reviewed by the event director. Because our age group winners are based on chip time, it is possible to cross the finish line before someone else in your age group while still finishing with a slower time than them. Got questions about your placement? Please email timing@brooksee.com.
Ship My Medal:Top Finisher but missed the awards ceremony? You can request to have your place medal shipped to you! Visit this link to have your place medal shipped to you.
Photos:New for 2026, FinisherPix will be at each event to capture your race memories. Within 24-48 hours post-event, your photos will be available at the link below. You can purchase your race photos ahead of race day during registration or directly through FinisherPix.
The FinisherPix Photo Pack includes ALL photos we identify of you in all digital formats (Basic digital image, Digital images with Finish Time, Digital images in certificate format). A link to download all images will automatically be emailed to you when photos are available online. Click the button below to view race weekend photos once available. Search for your individual photos by last name or bib number.
Drop bags will be permitted for longer race distances. Specific details, including which distances and aid stations allow drop bags, will be shared soon. Please observe the following rules:
-
All drop bags must be labeled with name, bib # (in large print), aid station, and race distance. Optional, but a good idea if your label comes off, is a card inside with the same information and contact information. Please label your bags the day before the race on your own or at check in.
-
All drop bags must be left in the designated drop off location (near the start line) by 8pm the night before the race.
-
No valuables or fragile items in your drop bags. We are not responsible for any lost/stolen items.
-
Watch the weather forecast. If there is any chance of rain, place your items in zip lock bags inside of your drop bag.
-
Minimum size: Gallon size freezer zip lock. No grocery store plastic bags or garbage bags.
-
Maximum size: Shoe box size for single pass and daytime aid stations. Small duffle or small carry on for multiple pass aid stations.
Half Marathon and 30K runners should not use drop bags. Please speak with a race official if this will create a problem for you.
Drop Bag Return
-
Generally, all bags come back about 90 minutes after the aid station fully closes (all distances that pass through it).
-
There will be a "Return to Finish Line" area at all aid stations that allow drop bags. This is an area where you can place your drop bag after you no longer need it from that particular location and we will try to get it back early if possible.
-
You must place the bag in this area. Crew or volunteers are not allowed to sort through them in order to reduce the risk of a drop bag inadvertently being returned to the start line.
-
If you do not want to stick around, we can mail your drop bags to you after the race for $35 per bag.
-
-
No wheelchairs or strollers
-
No dogs allowed on course
-
All finishers will receive a finisher medal. Unique finisher medals will be provided to the finishers of all distances. Special awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers for each distance as well. Unlike our Half Marathons, we do not offer age group awards for these events.
Ultras Overall awards are based on gun time. Here's why:
-
At our Ultramarathons, we offer a larger, more unique overall winner prize. Calculating awards based on gun time allows us to award these prizes in-person, instead via mail. We believe strongly in celebrating your accomplishments at the event (plus, the prizes don't ship well...)
-
If you are interested in competing for a top award you will need to line up at the front at the beginning of your start window so your chip time and the gun time are the same.
-
The official Race Shirt is picked up at expo upon check-in, and the official race medal is awarded upon crossing the finish line.
Exclusive Race merchandise will be available both at the race expo and near the finish line! When possible, we'll have race merch for sale in our online store after the race is over. Please allow time for us to add items online. Now, you can make it last forever with an iTAB, a custom engraved plate with your name and finishing time that clips right onto your medal ribbon.
Pre-order before race day, and it’ll be sent to you automatically after results have been verified and posted. Shipping will take about 2 weeks post event. If you missed out on pre-order, no worries. You can order yours today for just $15, including postage & packaging here.
