The Grand Quad experience was incredibly special to me. Traveling to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone for 8 days meant experiencing some of the most majestic nature on earth! Running two 5ks and two half marathons in two incredible places, with plenty of time in between for hiking and sightseeing, was unforgettable.

I probably should have taken it a little easier on my feet, but there was just so much to see and do that I didn’t mind my legs being tired. Running at elevation at both locations was already a massive challenge, so I wasn’t chasing a PR. It was entirely about the experience, and holy smokes, did it deliver!

These were my 3rd and 4th Vacation Races events. I actually ran my very first VR event at Mount Rainier on a freshly sprained ankle! The course and energy were so amazing that I was instantly hooked. Because I absolutely love national parks and nature, I immediately started planning out my year. I was originally only going to do Yosemite, Grand Tetons, and Yellowstone. But I've been having so much fun that I signed back up for Rainier (this time attempting the Triple Goat Challenge), and at my last race, I pulled the trigger on the Joshua Tree race since I’ll already be in the area. Might as well make an epic family trip out of it!

These races are incredible, and the community and staff are all fantastic. Highly recommend if you enjoy nature and running! 10/10
