Roles for

VOLUNTEERS

Volunteer opportunities vary by event, but typically you can anticipate signing up for the following:

Set up and tear down of our expo
Distributing bibs and shirts to participants​
Assisting in the merchandise tent​
Helping with zero-waste efforts
Handing out medals and food at the finish line​
Shuttle bus and parking support

Volunteers

DETAILS & POLICIES

    • Volunteer credits and perks vary by event, role, and shift length and are subject to change.​

    • Credits will be distributed as codes that may be applied to Vacation Races events.​

    • Credits are distributed after successful completion of your volunteer shift, In many cases, credits are sent within a few days. During peak race periods, it may take up to two weeks to receive your code.​

    • Credits must be used toward a future Vacation Races event and expire one year from the date you receive them.​

    • Race credits may not be redeemed for cash.​

    • If a credit is applied to a registration that costs less than the full credit amount, any remaining balance is forfeited.​

    • Some volunteer roles require age minimums.​

    • All volunteers are required to sign a waiver prior to participation.​

    • Volunteers are expected to arrive on time, remain for the duration of their assigned shift, and follow all instructions provided by event staff. ​

    • Failure to complete a scheduled shift may result in forfeiture of volunteer perks or credits.​

    • Event dates, locations, volunteer roles, and schedules are subject to change due to weather, permitting, or operational needs.​

    • Vacation Races reserves the right to reassign volunteer roles as needed to support safe and successful event operations.​

    • Volunteers may be photographed or recorded during the event and grant permission for their likeness to be used for promotional or marketing purposes.​

Group Volunteer Opportunities

PARTNER WITH PURPOSE

We love partnering with local nonprofits, school teams, clubs, and community groups to support our events while strengthening the communities that host them. Group volunteers play a vital role in race-day operations--staffing aid stations, assisting with parking and traffic, and supporting other essential needs, while earning funds for their organization.

Volunteer Together, Fundraise Together

Groups volunteer together and earn fundraising dollars based on the number of volunteers and hours worked. In addition to fundraising, many groups have opportunities to promote their club or organization on-site, connect with participants, and increase visibility within the community. Group size requirements, roles, and earning potential vary by event.​
